When I worked in a parlour, I was regularly tipped. The amount would vary, but a general median was the $50 mark. The most I have ever received as a tip has been $200, but I personally know 2 girls who have received a $1000 tip each, whilst on escort. As a privately-practicing professional, I occasionally receive a tip when the client is particularly enamored of me. Again, $50 is the usual amount.

 

I must hasten to add that I NEVER solicit for tips. To be honest, I've always assumed they came as a standard industry practice. Then again, I see a LOT of Americans & Canadians, & have spent considerable time myself in both countries. Perhaps we should chalk it up to cultural transference?

 

As for the opinion that 'professionals don't accept tips'...

 

Take a look at my reviews, & then tell me I'm not (QUOTE) "A consummate professional" (UNQUOTE)!

I believe that tips are a nice way for some people to show me I've made a difference in their day, if not their lives. For many people I see, I know I'm the highlight of their otherwise-dreary week or fortnight. When their expectations are met or exceeded upon delivery, some people choose to reward me as a way of saying 'thank you for making it so much more than just worthwhile'.

 

Ultimately, it's your money & your choice. I don't expect nor ask for a tip, but it is certainly a nice surprise when I receive one!
