Today is International Sex Workers Rights Day!

In Adelaide where I am located unfortunately Sex Work is still an underground Industry. As a result when a woman chooses to enter and work in this industry she is making this decision under dangerous circumstances. Sex Work being a criminal activity and grey area in terms of the law not only enforces stigma, makes this industry dangerous for workers and punters and means there is no set standards to abide by.

Whilst you may see sex workers rallying and attending marches to change these laws there is rarely support from our consumers, the punters. If you're a punter I encourage you to take part in the decriminalisation of sex work, this can be anything from writing to your local MP to encourage Decrim, supporting your local workers who are vocal about this on social media or attending rallies in support of us.

Remember FULL Decriminalisation is the proven safest model for both industry workers and punters. Do us a solid, help us make this industry not just a fun and rewarding experience but a safe space for everyone involved.

That's nice but unfortunately I find allies are first ones marched into the gulag. That may be one of the reasons there's little consumer support.

There's many ways to be a supporter not all of them public. Every little bit counts ❤️

Don’t imagine to many PP members would care

Most of my clients are lovely dudes who just aren't super educated around sex worker issues and rights. I'd hope punter planet members were the same.

Punter safety and rights is a part of the decrim model, that's the point I'm trying to make.

The world we experience is simply a projection of yourself. You attract what you are 🩵

Of course . But both attempt to suck as much out of you as they can pretending to be genuine .

Both professions have some exceptions but it is rare

I'm sad you see us like that, personally I see this job in the same vein I saw my small business when I operated that. Customer service is a high priority and I would hate to think my clients see me as wanting to rinse them. I simply expect to get paid appropriately for my time, skills and experience. A punter leaving happy is my priority. That's repeat business and word of mouth advertising. No point fucking over dudes and ruining your brand.

And of course every punter has a price there willing to pay and every hooker has a price they charge . And  with all respect I’ve heard your story from other sex workers so many times justifying why you are worth what you charge .

There are honest and reliable working ladies who provide excellent customer service.

On the other hand there are also working ladies who are utterly deceitful, lazy, nasty, unprofessional and quite the sort of people one is eager to avoid. I think many punters have become very wary of working ladies.

Decriminalisation and normalisation are good for the honest agents on both the punter and WL sides though. Kinda hard to e.g. pursue a stolen deposit if it was paid for illegal services.

I for one appreciate the fact that Venus welcomes our input regarding this topic. When discussions took place in Melbourne, we basically were told off to stay away (hence the less than enthusiastic reaction you are seeing @Venus Nymphs). But good on you for putting it here without preconceptions. Hopefully it will become a reality one day, and the whole country will have decrim as the standard.

I'm a mid range girl myself. And atm I'm the cheapest I've ever been. I think $250 for an hour at a full service parlour is very reasonable. My outcall prices are higher but they have to be to cover costs of running my own adds, transport, consumables. You won't ever hear me bitching about other workers but you will also never see me charging ridiculous amounts. The customers set the prices tho; believe it or not. That goes for any business. If people be falling for trickster marketing they need to watch some youtube videos on that shit and figure out why they do lol.

I frequent reddit forums and was hesitant to make myself known here. The first few years in this job I stayed away due to the shit I'd heard about punter forums. If someone asked if I wanted a review here I'd ask them not to. But this time around I thought literally fuck it, I'm a nice person and I think the members of this place might actually find value in my industry opinions.

Not wanting to involve punters in activisim with this industry is actually so stupid. Yes our voices as workers should be the loudest but there's no sex work without you guys. You're important and should be heard.

This is exactly what I'm getting at, I'd love to hear more things like this from punters so I can collate that information into an in depth blog post on importance of decrim, for everyone!

You get that in every profession, I used to be in beauty and God damn the industries are more similar than you'd realise HAHA
