The Unreal Bachelor
As we know there has been a quite a bit of hoopla of late over the TV Show The Bachelor where they had broken up before the final episode went to air.
Well as much as I despise reality TV, Even though I will confess I’ve never watched the show but have seen the trailers to get a gage of things and in my view the show is totally unrealistic.
The bloke featured is always some hunk with a body that makes him look like he spends his every waking moment in a gym and wouldn’t be out of place in a WWE ring, you would think would have no trouble at all meeting the lady of his dreams.
As for the women on the show who try to woo him. They’re all girl next door types at worst. They’re probably really beating men off with a kendo stick.
If they want to make the show more realistic then perhaps the bachelor should be somebody like me. (Knowing full well that I wouldn’t get past the first audition) I’d put myself into the Jack Black category, not the best looking bloke in the world and on the podgy side, but I try to make up for it with other attributes.
A former female friend of mine once asked me, “What do I have to offer?” To be honest I had to think about it for a while so I came up with the following:
Somebody who is loyal, supportive and has respect for women, who is domestically self sufficient, have my own place and gamefully employed. That's just off the top of my head but I hope that would be good. I'm the first to admit that I have flaws but I feel I have good things to offer.
With any of the ladies that feature I’d be batting well above my average, I’d be like the bloke in that Carlton Mid ad, except I wouldn’t be trying to have al my mates there at the same time.
