if anyone is interested and more familiar with C++ rather than java, openframework will work best with kinect(or more prof. infrared cameras).

I think their libraries are bigger and more up to date as well. However, nothing beats Processing for tutorials for generative design. 

I would like to see and know more. I will try and contact you over the coming weeks. I love visual toys ..... can you program sound with it ?

I think if you have windows, you can do vvvv with  openframework. I haven't tried. .. another option might be puredata. I know it's possible.
