Gearing Up for “The Ride to Conquer Cancer ®”
Hi everyone!!,
Well, what can I say, some of you may still remember me, to others I may be a bit of a myth lol, however I'm here to ask for you help!
I am gearing up for The Ride to Conquer Cancer® bicycle ride benefiting Peter Mac. Yes a BICYCLE ride!!
I will be joined by thousands of men and women who share one thing in common: the desire to make a difference. I will travel throughout Victoria’s countryside for two days, on 26th and 27th October 2013. Funds raised from this epic event will support breakthrough cancer research, treatment and the discovery of new therapies at Peter Mac.

One in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I have rightly viewed the Ride to Conquer Cancer as a call to action.
My decision to rally for this cause is because of the pain and suffering that was created while my family and I watched helplessly as my Brother struggled through the rise and fall of Lymphatic Cancer over a period of 7 years, to eventually lose the battle just over 6 years ago. He would have been celebrating his 60th birthday this year. Instead we celebrate the life we had with him, even though it was short lived.
My sister is also a survivor of Cancer and feel very lucky to still have her in my life.
There are many others that have had less with their loved ones.
This is why I am committed to pushing through my own pain at the age of 50 to bring awareness and raise funds to help fight this disease.
The ride will be from Albert Park to Frankston and onto Hastings, then return the following day from Hastings via Mornington back to Albert Park Lake.
My Participant number is 770583-0 and I have set myself a goal of $5,000. I need at least $2,500 to ride.

P.S This is a very difficult thing to do one here as obviously my animosity is still required, so if you do a deposit via the website, please refrain from mentioning simply bliss lol as much as i appreciate whatever any of you can do, I'm sure you understand.
