Well, I took the opportunity to go with one of our WLs and I really enjoyed myself. I sincerely hope she did too. Opening Night, Triple Bill, supper to follow.
And it went smoothly indeed.
The stand out performance was bella figura, first time I'd ever seen topless ballet dancers on the State Theatre stage. The music was enjoyable, the movement of the dancers was just sensational. Contrary to my companion's initial opinion the ballerinas really were topless. Not that it really made a huge impact other than you could have heard a pin drop, every body was really focussed on the dancers!
Excellent performance, well worth it.
Supper at Melba's at the Langham Hotel was delightful too!
