That's funny. :) I always wonder how I should ask about ethnicity and background. Maybe the point is that I shouldn't be so interested........

I think it's bit different when total strangers think it's OK to rock up and ask about personal information about your ancestry on the street.

 

I am not offended in a session for instance- I might ask the same question to Caucasian person as many people have interesting large Italian family or very British or Irish background. I love stories about how people's parents or grandparents came to Australia. It's inspirational.

Well I've had a bit of racism directed at me but I think Australia is getting better – particularly in the cities.
