More excitement than I was after...

So, as I've mentioned on twitter and in the shout box I was involved in a bit of an accident last night.

To be precise, some total moron smashed straight in to the side of the car I was in, at a reasonably high speed. To my pleasure, the side he smashed in to was the passenger side i.e. mine.

I'm writing all this from the ED. I've still not been let out yet, despite feeling OK, but I can appreciate why. I definitely have a nasty case of, I guess you would call it whiplash and my entire left side is just...ow. I could also have a concussion! Yay! Again, I know how all this stuff works, but I *feel* OK right now. I guess anything else will present itself in time.

I've had to cancel the bookings I had this week and I feel TERRIBLE. It's the most horrible sinking feeling, letting people down and I really hate doing it. Going to do my best to make it up to those affected ASAP.

I'm less shaken up now and more pissed off. The Driver of the other car has come away from the accident a lot better than he could have. He was in the wrong...VERY in the wrong and will face the legal consequences of his actions. It just annoys the hell out of me, the way people drive around this area. It was late at night, no-one else really on the road - how fast did you really need to get to where you were going?

This could have all turned out much worse for all involved. I'm so grateful it didn't.

First of all, I am glad you are OK. Australia Day 2011 I was a fraction of a second from being t-boned, but still had the car totalled. I walked away. I can empathise with you and hope you get fully, totally, recovered (including mental scars).

Second, based on your comment about feeling bad for your bookings, my opinion of you has just gone through the roof. Big big hug and a tip of my hat to you.

So sorry to hear it Lucie!

I hope you make a full and speedy recovery.

You have not 'let down' anyone, as this was entirely unforeseen and not at all your fault.

I am sure others punters will feel as I do that your recovery is what matters and must come first.

I'm just glad you're in one piece babe. That is the ONLY thing that matters. Get well, Look after number one - Youself!.....And then and only then start worrying about the drooling perverts like myself waiting in line to have the pleasure of getting to know you much much better.. Take care Lucie. Seriously.

Yes Glad to hear you OK - Follow the Doctors orders as some the pain comes later - you thing you OK but after the first shock and pain killers wear off you discover all the other bits that hurt.

You guys are amazing <3

Feeling so much better, over did it on a couple of days (I have to be doing things...I don't like to be laying around for too long...well...certain circumstances aside...;p), but a few long hot baths and I was feeling a lot more myself...!

Looking forward to a verrry exciting week ;)
