I was chatting on Facebook the other day. A strange occurrence in this social media obsessed culture I know.

 

Anyhoo, I mentioned to the gentleman I was chatting with that I had been climbing the walls.

 

I have temporarily relocated to QLD (the Sunshine Coast to be specific) to help sort through some family issues. I am used to having a lot of sex (I hear a collective gasp) and because of my new circumstances have been having close to none.

 

“Surely you could find a casual play mate to keep the tension at bay?”

 

“I am fussy,” I replied.

 

“Allow me to smile at that.”

 

Huh? What? Excuse me?

 

I did in fact ask him why.

 

“LOL. Just the nature of your work.”

 

This really threw me. Because my work involves money in exchange for sex (and other added extras like my company, friendly nature, witty banter, scintillating conversation…. I won’t go on) it is a humorous notion that I may be fussy about who I take as a lover.

 

Wow. I was as surprised his comment as I was by my reaction. I was offended.

 

The notion that I should shag anyone that throws a casual lecherous glance my way when I am out as my alter ego is astounding.

 

This gentleman then went on to say…

 

“I am sure some look down on what you do for a living. I don’t... I tried and failed to be chatty and light hearted.”

 

Well, champ… You just proved that you do look down on what I do for a living. Often the most jarring insults are those delivered in “jest”.

The fact that you give away your body for sex regardless of looks in exchange for money (so do i) There is going to be people that are confused by this and have a hard time getting there head around it..Im not surprised that there is some confusion as to how fussy your are. surely you are aware of this?

I disagree with what you say. Or, it may be the way you say it Ryzon.

 

I don't "give away my body for sex". People pay to spend time with me. To enjoy my company. I am a "sex worker" so I am under no illusions as to the main motivation for engaging my company. 90 per cent of the time a booking involves sex. But I certainly do not "give my body away", as though a piece of me slides away with each booking I "endure".

 

Your point about "regardless of looks" is interesting. As though if the people I had sex with for money were considered to be conventionally attractive it would somehow be more acceptable or legitimise me being fussy about the people I choose to have sex with in my personal life.

 

Being "fussy" is about being particular as to the quality of the people I choose to spend time with. Being considered attractive is in no way a guarantee that a person will be intelligent, witty, charming, kind, respectful or any of the other qualities I find appealing.

 

I don't fuck stupid, impolite dickheads for money and I don't fuck stupid, impolite dickheads for kicks.

Private and personal lives are separate things. So no I don't find it unreasonable that your fussy who who want to play in your personal life.

Once chatted to a lady who complained of the same thing as you and I made the comment "Surely it would be easy to find some one you like for fun" her reply was that the XXX persona was not her in real life and that she was in fact rather shy.

Yes, you have a very good point. There is an amount of choice that we all have and that is our god given right to choose. In retrospect it was poor wording on my behalf. I was just pointing out that the general public don't particularly have a great deal of insight into the amount of choices escorts have, it just wasn't surprising that this guy thought any different.

Huh, Ryzon??? I imagine an escort who gives good service attracts sufficient clients to enable her to exercise quite some choice as to who she sees. Certainly enough choice to refuse to fuck impolite stupid dickheads and yet remain busy. Am I at all mistaken?

Yes but you can't just assume that all escorts give a good service can you? You have missed the point altogether and just gone on the defensive. I am not an escort therefore I have no need to be on the "defensive". I am doing no more than suggest many escorts will be in a position to exercise some choice over whom they will see. They should be able to screen out the "impolite stupid dickheads" whilst still earning more than enough to put bread on he table. No, they can not be so precios as to see only george clooney clones.
