Miss Chloe and Me

“I’m kinda getting sick of seeing you and your camera”, Miss Chloe stated. It was true that we were starting to run out of steam after two half day shoots one weekend in Sydney followed up by a duo session in Melbourne several days later. I’ve been photographing Miss Chloe since her entry into the world of private escorting and she has been a muse for me throughout this time. I fondly recall our first shoot at the Royce three years ago. I had only done a handful of shoots for Planet Escort in Australia and Germany back then. Although I still like a few of our images from that first session, it’s been tremendously encouraging for me to see the overall improvement and refinement of our work together since. Each time, we have gone for a different look and concept, yet I can see a unifying style from the very beginning. Miss Chloe is a classy and elegant lady, and I wonder how much this has shaped the evolution of my escort photography. I think my style is somewhat anti-glamour. I’m not interested in doing what photographers shoot on 95% of the Private Girls profiles - all shiny, glossy tanned torsos which are barely distinguishable from each other. You won’t find anything too saucy or provocative in my photos; I prefer understated sensual imagery shot entirely in natural light finished off with a deft touch of post-capture processing.

Of course, we’ve both gone on to bigger and better things since the beginning of our collaboration. While it’s true that I saw Chloe as one of her first ever private clients, it was a one time session. Instead she became my loyal client and soon after someone I could count as a friend, one of the few that I could share punting stories with. When she caught the travelling bug this year, we even managed a fun lingerie shoot in Provence. By the accounts on PP, it is clear that MC has reached the elite ranks of Australian companions. I’m proud to say that my career has travelled in parallel with Chloe, now being able to count among my clients some of the top European designer labels and camera equipment brands.

Barely a week goes by without a pm on PP about how people can get started with escort photography. Or whether they can come to a shoot as an assistant. Unfortunately, I don’t use extra help for these sessions but do have a few tips.

1. Get paid. If you want to be taken seriously about your photography, you must get something in return. It may be a token amount or a discount off a booking but in my opinion only fools do free work for ladies. I’m not talking about snapshots for personal use. However if the lady intends to use them for advertising, you should charge a fee. Remember that these girls are well paid and can afford it. The value of a great set of photos to a WL is potentially many tens of thousands of dollars. I have been paid for every single one of my shoots, even my first. Did you get your camera equipment and processing software for free? Do you have so much time and are your post-capture skills so poor that they are worth nothing?

2. Remember that you are judged pretty much entirely by your work. It’s difficult to get shoots without a body of work to show. High profile WL’s are not going to waste their time or money and risk having more photos floating around with their faces unless you can demonstrate skill and discretion. Getting your foot into the door can be difficult but perhaps a new up and coming lady might be the way to go. Remember tip #1 though!

3. Work out if there is a way you can distinguish yourself. As I mentioned, there is already a ‘house style’ in the way most escorts are photographed in Australia. There’s nothing wrong with going with the flow but it may be an advantage to be able to offer something different.

4. Don’t sleep with your clients. Where you already have an established regular client-WL relationship, I think it’s OK but still a grey area. I would certainly stay well away from advertising bartering arrangements to new ladies.

P.S. I've gone for alliteration over grammatical correctness in the title.

That's certainly something you immediately notice - all the photographed pictures of the girls on PG are of identical style. The main reason I noticed Miss Chloe was because of the distinct difference of her presentation. Well done mate.

Miss Chloe believe it or not looks even better in person, and in the photos she is a knockout. Photos are so beautiful and artistic though.

Good compositions YP but then you did have a flawless canvas to develop them from.

Well YP, If u can fit this onto a t-shirt, you could rightly say "Been there, done that and got the T-Shirt" because u really have created art not gloss.. Its very clear however i know nothing about art or photography. If you really want to impress take a bad picture of her, there's a challenge
