The Disconnect: Reflections of a Message Board Whore

What I've noticed, not just on my new favorite board (Punter Planet!), but on all of them, is that there is often a disconnect from the things we seek, and the choices we make.

As companions, our only initial marketing consists of looks, versatility, and sexual prowess. A great attitude and customer service skills, time management, the ability to think outside the box to resolve problems as they arise, and the ability to see the good in you so we can have a more 'human' encounter are all extras worth paying for. Admittedly, not all of us have mastered these highly marketable traits. It's up to the gent to distinguish that for himself.

As a companion for over 7 years now, I am proud to say that I can count my negative experiences on one hand. What I've learned is that regardless of who's footing the bill, this is my show. Whatever I have to do to diffuse a potentially negative issue I will do it.

Firstly, I will never schedule a meeting when I know that I'm not mentally or physically up to the task. Desperation has never been my Modus Operandi. I will never give a gent the opportunity to report that I 'just wasn't into it'. I will never justify my actions in an appointment with the need for money.

Secondly, when I know either of us has been travelling in the heat, first order of business is a shared bath or shower. No is not an option to a request to shower with me. A stop to use the mouthwash is MANDATORY. That way there is no reason a punter should ever say "she didn't offer what was advertised". Point blank, very frank: if you are not clean, you should not expect someone to deal with your body odors. You should not expect DFK if you know you haven't freshened up your breath or have bad teeth in your mouth.

The question then becomes the level of tact on the part of the companion. It's better to tackle these issues in the beginning instead of making a gent get up and take a shower mid-session. For the gent, I think it would be best to acquiesce to a request for a shower regardless of whether you showered beforehand or not. It would be more hurtful and embarrassing for me the other way around.

What I have also learned is that perception plays a big role in a gentleman's selection of companions. Amazingly, it is not acknowledged that some punters are not mentally sound, so their opinions of ladies should be taken with a grain of salt. I had a gentleman once tell me that he felt I wasn't into him, which I found was ridiculous because I had a great time (admittedly, I have two weaknesses: big boys and smart boys. He was both. ). About two years later (and after he lost half his body weight), he comes to me and apologizes because after reflection, he realizes that our time together was one of the best he's ever had. He admittedly had a body image problem, and reading his reviews up until that time reflected it too. It seemed that he was never satisfied, and no one was ever into him.

I'm not saying that all ladies are really into their appointments. What I am saying is that most punters overlook key factors that make a successful punt. Basic customer service skills (like answering calls with a friendly tone of voice, and answering emails in a timely fashion) is just a minimum. Scheduling appointments so tightly that you're seeing the previous client pull out of the parking lot is not a good sign. Her hair's still wet from her shower; a big pile of towels in the corner under the sink. And you wonder why she complains of being sore in the middle of an appointment, or doesn't respond to your best DATY performance. It's like asking for disappointment.

It all boils down to this: either a lady cares enough about her reputation to minimize the risk of damage or she doesn't. Either a gent seeks to make his time and money spent worth it or he doesn't. Anything else is punting sabotage.

Sex workers are performers, admittedly it may be a small stage, the bed, the room, etc, but it's a performance, nonetheless.

That some WLs take more care and pride in their appearance, dress, coiffure and attitude is a reflection of their self. I guess that's why some are more popular than others.
